Often the best is FCP Euro for the parts man, probably easier to replace the affected arm, kill two joints with one stone.

There are others overseas too that I've used, like Pelican, Turner Motor Sport etc..

Someone will hopefully chime in with the Software that exists, i've forgotten what it's called, but TLDR; use parts finder to get a part number, whack the number in the software and it tells you shops and their prices where the part is available.

Always cross reference prices with freight and GST if any to local places though!  Beware of SAS, they use a lot of unbranded 'house' brands, I do use them for some stuff because it's cheap, but I'm wary.

I've found a place in Christchurch (Also a branch in Auckland) called BM Workshop, about 30% of the time their price is comparable or lower than importing the same. http://bmworkshop.co.nz/parts-department/

Oh, and Brent @BM WORLD has a full front linkage out of an E34 M5 from wheel to wheel including the drag link that's in fairly good nick, but I decided to go new.

  2. Hi there,

I failed a WOF today, theres some play at the right front lower ball joint, just wondering if theres any recommendations for places that can do the work on my car or anywhere where I can source the ball joint myself :) have used SAS in the past but if theres any others I'm all ears,

    Cheers,

Doubt you will able to achieve 250hp with "basic" modifications. You'd need to stroke your engine with m52\m54 parts + tuning at the least to get to that.

A manual conversion (if it's an auto) and a ecu remap or chip (EAT, JC) would be the best power increases for the $. Possible exhaust headers and camshaft options available but no idea on the availability and cost of those.

aaaaah yes, thanks for that bro haha

  4. Hi guys ?

I'm a bit of a noob here but I was wondering if anybody can give me advice on basic engine upgrades I can do to increase horsepower in my 1993 525i, its got a M50TUB25 engine and I believe with all the stock parts its at 192 HP, its my first Bimmer and I'm looking at basic parts replacements or modifications to get it to around 250 HP, and hopefully look to learn as much as I can along the way ?
