unfortunately I'm only going off what the car dealer has told me as the car is still with them and their mechanic. He did mention stem valve seals as well as piston rings however "piston rings" were mentioned a lot, I was also told by other people that a complete engine swap could give me a better outcome. thank you all for your replies. Hi guys. I have a problem with my E87, as far as my very useless car dealer has told me his mechanic believes the issue is my piston rings. white smoke, over heating and sluggish while driving are my main issues, Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to fix this problem? Im starting to wander if I should look at alternative solutions as the car yard has had my car for over 4 weeks now and still no solution. Hi guys. I am what I describe as very girly I bought my car because it “looked pretty” I have a 120i E87. Purchased second hand. And now I’m intrigued and want to learn about my car as much as I can. I have 2 questions as I am in no way car savvy! 1. Description said “BMW 120i with M kit” does that mean I have the “look” of an M model? Without the perks of an M model? 2. Am I able to change my standard steering wheel to a multifunction steering wheel? Cheers
