hi everyone ive had these errors the last couple of days and managed to fix so i thought ill share here might help someone in the future.1st of i parked my car at work in the morning with the steering turned ,after work i went to start car and my idrive came up with errors: (active steering inactive, inactive start assistance, dsc, dbc, ftw) which freaked me out all these errors at once?really?,i went to workshop and came up with 614a and 6146 errors so i went home done alot of research which alot of it didnt work for me untill i put 2 different tasks together and found the fix- with car parked straight wheels i used tool32 and load dsc_87.prg in jobs then clicked on lenwinkel dsc abgleichen to reset steering sensor then to intialize steering go start car turn steering fully left then fully right then center and all faults where clear.thankfully i didnt have to change sensors or do clean sas diy or even worse change steering rack.

1st off im glad to say ive finally completed cic retrofit. Ive followed cic retrofit instructions from online, but came accross a few issues that wernt mentioned in retrofit diys. Since i had original ccc jap nav,i had to get a male/female gps extn cable from old gps arial cable in the boot all the way up to front of car to cic, also i didnt have money for fibreoptic loop isolator cause spent all on cic,so i had to trial and error on the fibre optic loop under rear cnr seat(a torch against old ccc fibre optic cable works a treat, showed which cable to disconnect from loop)after everything was connected,i had a lot of trouble programing fsc certs etc to enable nav after patching,i gave up after weeks trying to get nav to work,id basically tried everything,so i bought a emulator, but the emulator wont work because i had already patched the cic and virginized it,so i was back to square 1 again,i kept playing around with fstool2.exe and it connected to car,and because fstool2 connected i assumed programe was working correctly, but couldnt write fscs etc,so i thought it might be because cic/car vin conflicts, but after alot of trial error i found the issue was bad fstool2 car server i found carserver online and i could finally write fsc and sigs also i set vin with fstool2 didnt even need to use tool32 to change vin.ive attached a pdf i found online i hope the owner doesnt mind, helped me alot with fstool error dramas,it also has links to new carserver etc. hopefully some of this info helps for whoevers doing cic retrofits. {vin:WBAWB72070P054281}ive decided to do a cic retrofit over mulf2 hi on ccc,cic system is installed, and before i started coding everything looked good on idrive had options etc,so i proceeded to do coding via ncsexpert ive FA WRITE the #0909 and $6VA so far everything is ok then proceeded to sg_coderen the cic, when cic rebooted ive lost all the info on the idrive screen?music plays i can scroll through menus etc but theres no writing or symbols on each page, ive tryed coding with/without battery charger ive tryed factory reset cic/nfrm/cas ive tryed changing my build date back to #0907 delete $6va,its almost like my cars options are conflicting against idrive,so far im lost what to do,if anyone has any ideas please let me know, also heres some pics of mt screens. finally solved isssue,i changed in vo i deleted $807 and $852 jap language and add $853 and $801 english language.

Hi,i own jap import 07 335i,vin: wbawb72070p054281 with ccc idrive, pro nav,6cd stacker, and aux,and i want usb,ive looked at dension but because jap not compatible,my next options are grom mst4 or get involved with modules, ive done a bit of coding on car allready so i thought i might try with modules.i dont have tcu nor mulf in boot, but ive found tcu wiring harness, question is would i be able to install a mulf2 hi unit into the tcu harness?or is my only option grom mst4?are there any other options ive missed to install usb audio?
