Just running the standard analog type screen in our prefacelift e39. Wondering what my options are beyond replacing fuses and perhaps thinking my be faster to take to an auto sparkie? Radio still works and preset stations still work but would prefer to fix screen rather than replace with an aftermarket headunit etc

Definitely would love to upgrade my old a4 to something of the like.... And unfortunately its one of the 2.0 fwd models that really doesn't much relate to something when I think of audi... But I tell you what with the sport mode it actually gets moving at a pretty quick rate, even though its barely like 100kw hahaha. But certainly would love to upgrade to something with a bit more going on. But then I'd have to choose between the quattro and my e39.

So recently I bought a fairly cheap 540i, drives and runs like a dream, but my uncle has slightly later Ac schnitz (mine is '97, so prefacelift, and his is a '03) of which his is written off. If I were to take the parts from the schnitz, would they be able to fit my e39? Or would the parts be slightly different due to the facelift?
