Just doing abit of Preventative Maintenance before summer Anyone here can recommend me a place where I can service my Transmission +Diff fluid (otherwise i can probably diy this) Based on google I heard the guys over at "The Gearbox factory" are the top dogs in AKL when it comes to Transmission servicing. Got quoted $710 for Transmission (full service) and extra $100+- for diff , all inc gst However keen to know if you guys have any suggestions My Car is BMW 130i Automatic '06

Do you guys know any car yards that may possibly have any bmw 135i brembo calipers? I've tried making an account through "pick a part" but their whole website is glitchy and Im not really sure if they do stock 1series cars

yep, pretty straight forward installation. remove the antenna stick and you just stick the fin cover on top of the module itself. However since removing the "fishing rod" it does affect reception by 10-40% . It doesn't bother me much as I normally use my Bluetooth.

Oil filter housing and oil cooler seals are easy DIY and can take 1-4hrs to do depending how experience you are and make sure you get the right tools cause unlike me that took a week due to stripped bolt lol. If you are talking about the Vanos solenoid o rings, you can either replace them or clean them (both vanos solenoid and seals/orings) using brake cleaner. Mine started showing error codes like 2a87 till I cleaned them, still works perfectly fine but when it fails again then i'll replace the whole bunch

I did bit of quick research and went with Goodridge myself Paid $262 nzd inc shipping last year https://www.demon-tweeks.com/nz/goodridge-stainless-steel-braided-brake-line-kit-gdrsbw1010-6c/

you can also try this, while keeping the original CCC iDrive

Looks like another one to add on my list when I get my bumper replaced and headlight projectors upgrade Good call Dave!

just rung my local bmw dealership (should've done this in the first place) they do stock our CHF 11s Fluid for around $48 1L BMW brand which I suppose is the same as pentosin.
-
yeah i thought of that too, 1L x2 at fcpeuro will cost $161 NZD for two small litres . Just cant justify spending that much specially the atrocious shipping fee that cost more than the bottle lol cause its liquids. But regardless i'd like to keep it as my last option Yep i got a new febi reservoir from last year, still in the box just needing new two metal prongs that can clip it tight as i believe the factory ones are one time use?

Anyone here know where to get the proper CHF 11S Steering fluid?

i got most of my consumables overseas online as they are more affordable and better range/quality(brands) than what you can get locally. Only if you dont mind the shipping dates. I got my oil filter and cabin filter from Ebay and k&n air intake filter from schmiedmann. To name a few websites Ebay , schmiedmann, Demon Tweeks, ECStuning, Spareto, Amazon etc. You'll need to do tons of research for pricing on each website compared to locally if we do sell them here and also comparing different currencies from different websites specially when it comes to shipping.

wow, good price! I bet it'll sound bit more better too with a few additional hp
-
i still have the factory backbox soo holla at me if keen lol otherwise i'd go with an aftermarket or 135i retrofit
-
Glad you stayed with us! tbh i think im also getting around 11.5-12 l/100km otherwise i could get it down to 9-10 if it wasnt for my 135i exhaust retrofit haha making my car burble +pops and bangs lol. But other than that i've been working from home and only drive my car 2-4 times a week soo i guess spending money on fuel isnt too bad as it can compensate the times I dont drive my car on a working day
-
haha i would but i'll be stocking up ❤️ 😛 that's really odd, they probably have a higher demand and customer rate on ebay than their local stores.

replacing the taillight is pretty easy! just dont drop the 3x hex nut! But i believe if your car is a pre-lci you might need to fiddle with some wirings to get your electronics to communicate with the taillight Follow this step
-
