  1. Have fun out there in the wet guys

    Just got back!

Actually the track wasn't so bad, it was wet in the morning, but it all dried up in the afternoon.

Was an awesome day, there were two unfortunate accidents that I saw, but the majority of the people there seemed to be having a lot of fun.

It was my first time with my 6 at Puke, and was doing 255km/h down the back straight.

Not too bad for a standard car with road tyres :D

  2. Is anyone from Bimmersport going to be at today's track day at Puke?

I should've posted earlier, but I've been flat out this week and couldn't.

I am just getting ready now to head down to Puke track and was wondering if anyone else was coming to it.

If I see any Bimmersport banners down there I'll say hi :)

I'm just curious to find out how fast I can get the M6 down the back straight there.

I'll post something up when I'm back

    Everyone have a good weekend!

  3. Let Seth loose with my car on Monday, he seemed to know what he was doing...

The tints look great, very professional. A+, would trade again.

    Cheers :)

    Cheers for the comment :)

I hope you don't mind me posting photos of your mint E36 coupe!

It looks awesome with tinted windows

  4. Arghh cannot wait until the new car arrives. Looking forward to bringing it to you guys!

    Edit:

Question, are you able to do my dad's Porsche Carrera and will it be the same price or is it just BMW?

We can do your father's Carrera for the same price. :)

Actually I have a 05 Porsche Cayenne booked in for tomorrow, I will post some pictures of it once it's done.

    Cheers

    Seth

  5. Thanks for tinting my car today, very happy with the job you did!

    Thanks :)

Hey, I'm glad that you're happy with the tint job :)

Let me know if you need some window film to maybe tint your other cars, etc.

Also give me a call to arrange a time for the Subaru as well.

    Seth

  6. How much does your FM and TV reception suffer when your windows are tinted?

It is said that the reception is slightly affected if you use a metalized film, but I honestly don't notice any difference in my m6.

We also have carbon and ceramic films that have doesn't affect the reception at all.

    Cheers

    Seth

  7. What brand & standard is the tint your using Seth ??

    Hi there.

It is the same film as the Old Solar Black.

Trust me, it's not one of those Repco or other non-branded films on the market.

We decided to call it standard tinting to make it sound more affordable for customers and hence the same special price as before $99.

We have also added more products to our high tech film range, the Solar Series.

Solar Black / Solar Deluxe / Solar Ceramic / Solar Ultimate

Our New Solar Black is now a completely different metallized film that offers greater heat reduction.

ALL of our films are our own branded film, and have our logo's imprinted on them. (OEM Made)

I am CONFIDENT that even our Hi-tech range, Solar Series, will outperform most other brands' films at only a fraction of the price.

We have a little testing station where customers can actually see and feel how our high tech films perform.

Tinting in NZ has always been way overpriced. Car Folie is here to fix this up.

    Cheers

    Seth

  8. Hello everyone.

    Finally Car Folie is back!

I have been receiving endless numbers of emails while I was away enquiring car tinting, and finally I'm back!

As promised we're continuing our special, exclusive for Bimmersport members.

We have introduced a even more affordable tint to our services.

    (Standard Tinting : $150)

This special is $99 Full Car Tint for all Coupe/Sedans.

    Normally $150 -> Special $99 !

We believe a discount on our already low rate would be something special for our Bimmersport members.

There won't be a limit for the number of cars, however we can only do so many cars per week,

and we're almost fully booked for next week already.

This offer ends at the end of AUGUST. So be quick.

First two weeks of August is already almost fully booked.

So act quick, and have your car tinted at our incredible price!

  9. WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!

although the shipping cost three times the amount of the badge

Oh yeah, that is a WIN!

I love black chrome! If you had yours painted like I said above, you would get it look like the one on Ebay.

But since that's so cheap, no point in taking yours to a painter!

  10. This is my personal opinion, but you should consider just tinting them black.

I had my badges blacked out a few years ago, and I didn't go pitch black on those.

Instead I took the badges to a painter and told him to add black tint to it.

And he did it by adding some black paint into the clear coat and sprayed the 'blackish' clear on the badges.

They turned out real nice, and looked like black chrome.

I hate having chrome on cars, and love blacking out every single chrome part of the car.

However I found tinting the badges actually looks way better than any black or gloss black paint.

    Just my two cents!

  11. soo whats the deal with this wrap? can it be removed if you change your mind and go back to the original paintwork? i can see obvious pros for this. though id assume its only matte and semi-gloss available though huh

You'd be surprised with how glossy our films are.

Have a look at our gallery on our website.

    http://www.carfolie.co.nz

There's a Merc CLS wrapped in Hi-gloss black, and it shines like crazy.

We are soon getting a special film in Alpine white.

Still thinking if I should wrap my M6 in black or white.

(I really love my Indianapolis red, but if I wrap it I guess it will be a superb demo car.)

The biggest pro would be that you can peel it off later when you decide to sell it.

  12. This isn't related to BMW at all, but I wanted to share some photos of the ZX10R which we have recenetly wrapped in Matt Black.

It used to be Lime Green, the usual Kawasaki colour.

Now it is fully wrapped in a Matt Black folie, the same film we use for car wrapping.

Just finished it today, so there are some finger prints here and there.

It'd look even better with a good clean!

I reckon it definitely looks a lot meaner and faster in Matt Black.

    :D
