So im all good, I have a 2007. Why do you even have 2 130is? Thanks.
-
Mine would seem to be missing a connection then. What year is your car?
-
Did you manage getting around to this for the MAF sensor plugs thanks
-
Cleaned it a while ago and it seemed to make a bit of a difference. I might try again when I replace the air filter. No idea about the lights sorry. Can you recommend a good diagnostic tool please. smoke test was done with no leaks at all, what will the scan tool do that will help the footwell module code? Can you also please check your connector to your MAF sensor to see if it has 4 or 5 pin holes, mine only has 4 receivers for the 5 pins from the MAF sensor. Thanks all.

Yes, when unplugged it did seem to run a bit smoother, should I try driving it unplugged for a bit? The previous owner changed the lights and cost them around $850 so I would imagine they were OEM? I have not reset the short circuit counts and do not know how to do that either, is it easy to do? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing very well. I just have a couple things here on my 2007 LCI 130i: First, I'm just having a few issues with rough idling and I'm getting code 1.2D06 for the air mass system. Id imagine that I have a bad MAF sensor but before I spend $300ish dollars with shipping I just want to check that buying a new MAF sensor actually fixes this. The check engine light goes on and off occasionally and now I have seen the check engine come on exactly on a large drop in rpms when idling twice if that means much to you. Could someone also please check the connector to their MAF sensor on their car for me, mine only has 4 receiving pins for the 5 pins that come from the sensor and I'm not sure if that's normal. Secondly, the rear tail lights do not illuminate when I have my main headlights on. They show the brake lights as usual and the rear fog lights work too. I have the code 1.9CA9 for faulty terminal 30A connection and I have no idea if that's related. The taillights have been replaced recently. If I have to order the MAF sensor what else should I order with it, currently just thinking air filter and cabin filter. Thank you all in advance.

Ive done a bit of research and I found one thing that said there are only supposed to be four of the five but there is no proper information on it. Could someone with a N52 please send through a photo of their plug connector like I have and please tell me if you have the facelift or not. (I have the LCI) Thanks.

2007 e87 130i Ive got a rough idle and codes for air mass system and went to give the MAF sensor a quick clean when I noticed one of the connector pins seems to be missing. Anyone got the part number for the connector and do you think that's the issue? Thanks

Valve cover leak on plastic N52 cover

they are charging me $190 for the gaskets themselves, do you reckon I should buy my own and supply them because from what ive heard that is a lot for the gaskets. -

Valve cover leak on plastic N52 cover
BMWALEX478 replied to BMWALEX478's topic in General Discussion
Thanks everyone for the input. So I just dropped it off, I decided to only do the oil filter housing gaskets for now as I think I will replace the entire valve cover itself later as it is not as urgent if I am correct. They said they source the oil filter housing gasket from BMW but they were very expensive so I hope they are quality. I also decided to do full oil change while it's there, smoke test, fluids top up and scan my check engine light which was not planned in the previous quote of $1442 without replacing the whole valve cover. I hope I didn't get scammed too badly, $1000 😬 -
Valve cover leak on plastic N52 cover

They quoted $1442 for valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket and oil change with filter. I don't have any tools and no experience would it possible for me to try or should I leave it to the professionals? -
Hi all, Im taking my 2007 130i into the shop tomorrow to replace both the valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets. I just have a quick question, I have heard that since I have the LCI, with the plastic valve cover (black engine cover) I also need to replace the entire valve cover along with the gasket. Is this true? Also, they quoted my another $350 on top of the valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets to replace the valvetronic motor gasket, is it a smart idea to go ahead with this. (im on a very tight budget) Thank in advance, any help or stuff I should know about the valve cover would be amazing.

Thank you. Do you have a rough estimate on much it might cost to get my oil filter housing gasket and valve cover gasket replaced? I don't think I should try myself because I have no tools unless its a very easy job? -
Hi everyone... BMW N52 Oil leaks, please help me.

Thanks, I will do that. Where would you recommend me to go get this done and what sort of money would you expect them to charge for each job? I am south east Auckland.
