CAR's.
I restore and rebuild classic race/rally and road cars in my spare time.

Looks like a very nice car but that's a big price difference over an auto Z4. Are they really that rare? You could buy a nice m3 for that money. What are people's thoughts? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=949809232

Would the SMG be ok to use with race car towing duties? Also do you have a figure in mind for this beast once it's complete?

The Monaro is a cool looking car but not that easy to live with. They are very easy to break into and quite noisy to drive on a long distance road trips. The wind noise from them is shocking. Even when they were new the magazines at the time commented on them being noisy. Just thought that a modern coupe would be cool to have. Mind you the Monaro is like having money in the bank. At least I can get some enjoyment from it.

If the Monaro was finished I'd be keen to sell it and look at buying this z4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=877337363

I phoned up about the car today and it looks like it has been sold. Think he got $12000 for it plus it will be going up north.

http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/51438-m3-coupe-1996-evo-m3av2/ Sweet I found this pass post on the car. Seems like no one has looked at it or test driven it yet.

Sorry for this but I did try, I looked through the last 90 days of posts. Now I know there is some info on here I'll try and look more, Cheers

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-870814586.htm Hi all, I'm interested in this EVO M3 and wanted to know if anyone knows much about it? From "carjam" it looks like it was imported into nz in around 03. Not sure where from yet. It's been on trademe for awhile and is slowly getting cheaper. Cheers, from a BMW M3 noob.

Yes it sure is his old car.

Had a look at the Dark green car today, WOW very tidy indeed. Even the hood lining is in great condition. No signs of sagging. You would have thought that it had done 100,000 kms less than its 144,00kms easy. It was the first BMW I have driven let alone an M3 so I can not comment on its performance compared to other ones. The clutch did work very well, a bit on the heavy side but no shudder or slip at all. These cars certainly have a solid feel to them and a very ridged chassis. Makes my old holden feel like you are driving a bendy green stick. I am very pleased that I got the opportunity to drive this car as it has made me rethink buying a M3. Unfortunately this sort of car is not for me. I had a lot of trouble with the narrow pedal spacing. Every time I went to push the clutch in the outside of my shoe would hit the foot rest by the tunnel. Also I was not happy with the lack of low down torque. Not the car that I would like to drive around town or to and from work, but it was never designed for that. Silly silly me for thinking I could do such a thing with so much of a car. This has not put me off buying a BMW thought as I'm sure there is a model out there that more suits my needs and wants. Now that I am not aloud to test drive other woman as my girlfriend does not like it, I will make test driving BMW's my new past time till I find the one that I like. (I was going to say the one I love but that sounds a bit of a gay thing to say in a car forum) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294632583

I had a look at this car today. It had the factory M3 hand book in the glove box and it said the compression was 10.8. It is a honest car but the poor old thing has lived outside for a few years. Needs a new paint job to bring it back to its former glory. Had damp carpet and that wet smell that they get. Suspect that the windows are leaking as the sunroof looks OK. Also had a cracked induction pipe that goes between the intake manifold and the air cleaner. Would definitely need to be fixed before it was driven to far. I think it would make a fantastic targa car, would have brought it myself but already have to many other projects on the go. At this stage I am just looking for a nice fun car to drive to work that does not need a lot of work doing to it. Think a 325 or 328 manual coupé will do just fine, although I'm off to look at the dark green M3 tomorrow. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294632583
