Been a month. Heaps of work done best update the photos. All speaks for it self.

The head is currently at the engineers getting pressure tested and crack tested and a light plane and then its back to me. Also getting a double stack head gasket made to handle the turbo.. all goes well... New wheels and tires are on the car. Suspension is being sourced. interior is getting the roll cage done. and fixed back bucket seats being mounted to the original rails. all goes well should be running after new years! But im just being optomistic.

Link to the build thread. I'm really looking for offers. Has had some rust work still needs to be finished. The bonnet has been shaved(badge removed and hole welded in) Looking for offers really. Its christmas time. Everyones short of money. So offers. Body is fairly straight. Passenger side doors need to be fixed. They got kicked in by some fool. Driver side sill needs to be pulled out. Also been kicked in. Not to much work. If wanted will sell the car and motor etc together and can come with the turbo and intercooler if wanted for the right offer. No manifold though. Will come with standard manifold and standard exhaust which will need to be welded back up and new muffler put on it. Everything there for it and maybe a few spares from the 325. No springs. Has fronts but no backs.

Offers around the 1200 mark or whatever.

Who's doing the panel/paint work on it?

I got a mate that works at supreme auto Masterton. he's going to help me out but other than that i'm giving it a crack. done rust work before and heaps of painting. But yeah its pretty much Backyard customs. Thats how we do. hahah Will put pics up after the motor is out and started paint work.

As the title says, So its manual and its a 5 speed if that helps. My plan is to take out the motor and box as one and i cant work out how to get the shifter off. usually its straight forward undo circlip type jobbie but no deal. Any help? tx me with help! asap. Motor is meant to be out tommorrow.

Motor and box are coming out on friday. Then its off to get some work done to it. Panel and painted buy the end of summer and the motor back in.

Roof chops are cool if in proportion, its kinda cool but it WAS flippin mean in its earlier progressions.

Looks so much better without the roof chop and if it had the bbs rims on it instead of those others.

Your number plate appears to be falling off.

Yeah it had a bit of a problem with a screwdriver and it holding itself on there. Might need to sort that one out.

Update- De Badged the bonnet and looks heaps better. Do have photos just not at home right now and dont have my camera. Will put some up soon.

push button start in the 318.

ive got a 325. its just sitting there doing nothing might sell it off as a project. Was just wondering about it. If anyones intrested I might make a sale thread on it. PM me for details if anyones intrested..

How would the m20b25 fit into the 318i front end? would i need to swap over all the subframes etc? and would I need to make allowance for the motor to sit between the fire wall? also would it bolt up to the 5 speed in my car already with maybe a bellhousing to suit?

I work at supercheap masterton and I bought some fuel hose the other day which is pretty much the same. I got the hose that says Fuel injection blah blah blah on it so that i didnt get the wrong size. Its been fine so far...

maybe it is just the photos. they look 10x better when you actually see them. we also have 17's!

I kicked the wing mirrors off the 325 the other day. Friday I think. And gave it a custom spray can paint jobbie.

^Get - Saw them in-store and they look mean. Pretty sure I saw those other ones in Hyper too but nothing which stuck in mind so the basketweaves MUST be better

those are pretty cool. I would rather the axis wheels though. the centres are to big on them other wheels.

IMO you need 16 or 17's on an E30
