after doing 200k, im going for another full tank for 82-84$. @M5V8: i know there is something wrong coz even if a BMW chassis is heavy it would not consume that much fuel (1.6engine). ive had it tuned up(replaced air filter,spark plugs,etc) 3 weeks ago and had the fuel hoses checked and tank to see whether it has a leak but they told me that it was fine. I live in wanganui so i dont think there are good mechanics who understand BMW here. if i cannot solve this problem i might sell this and buy another bimmer. but i do hope this problem can be solved.

it was 82-84$ using Shell Regular Petrol. any suggestions?

had my car tuned up last week. and i think it didnt help. my full tank of only ran for 200-210kms.=( im not sure what i can do to have my fuel improved. =(

hmm do you guys know where i can buy calibre plus 50 white headlights for HB3, they dont have stock here in supercheap auto in wanganui. or do you know any alternative(brand) that is good? i really like white head lights, too bad i cant put h.i.d with ballast.. i really like the 6000K.

i think the input of that one is 55w/60w and the output is a 100w.. that i have to check.. but if this is the case what do you think? i really like to have a super white headlight

ohhh.. i thought it would be more efficient to drive a 316 thats why i got that instead of the 318 , but im still hoping that after the tune up it will improve my 16L/100. and i only step on the gas pedal light..

ummm mine is a 3.16i E36 Compact with stock rims and tires are on average..

its a 1.6liter engine, so i must get around 10-11L/100...

just visited SUPER CHEAP AUTO this afternoon and was looking for CALIBRE Plus 50+ super white, unfortunately there were some available but of different sizes.. darn.. **guys i just had a look at my headlights and the size was HB3 (lowbeam) and HB4 (highbeam); so i guess its not H1 nor H7..

will go for a regular tune-up this monday. i hope it will help my thirsty E36 316i consume/save fuel.. hope it will improve my 16L/100Km..

on what i can do so that i can have normal consumption on petrol. any suggestions on repairs/cleaning/replacements, etc? so that i can go to a mechanic and have it done. cheers.

the 25.8Litre only cost me 50$ around half a tank. So when I get to a mechanic what service will I tell him? yeah i know 6-7km/L is very low. my 3.16 is automatic.. any help on this guys? thanks..

i only drive it around the city (wanganui) and my location is not that hilly, more of a flat. i had mine filled up for 50$, its 25.8Liters. Now the current mileage is at 144Km, and its a bit close to the mark where i had it filled up. so my prediction my 3.16i is around 6-7km/L. what can u recommend? cleaning MAF,throttle body, injectors??

What are the things you can do to make your car fuel efficient? coz i think my E36 3.16i consumes a lot of gas.. have MAF, throttle body, injectors cleaned??? ->well this do the trick.. anyone??

ohhh,, if thats the case ill just rewire it as break lights then, do you know a simple d.i.y on how to do this? coz i cant understand the wiring diagrams, and wouldnt it coz electric shortage, may be the fuse might get short..

cool if thats the case ill just tap the wire from right going to left.. arent they going to cause shortage? sorry im kind of an amateur with electricals.

its a euro import, it has bulb on it before i replaced it with a new one,meaning it was working before. really dont know how to read wiring diagrams.. do u think there is missing in the wires?
