Hi Guys, I need some help with my Rear Foglights,its not working although the Right Hand Side is working, ive tried replacing the bulb and still does not work. Im pretty sure the fuse is well coz the Right hand side is working. Here are some pics and the wiring. thanks guys..

Your car has the parabolic headlights which should use a H7 bulb. This tends to be the type on E36 Compacts (Ti). The other shapes (coupe, sedan, touring) came with the ellipsoids which have a projector and use H1. so nick and Mpulsive: is it H1 or H7? mine is an E36 3.16i compact (1995)..

i havent tried xenon bulb for my car but with my previous car i tried xenon bulb but it wasnt that bright; the yellow stocks were brighter. and for h.i.d replacements. what i meant was using Ballast+Bulbs..

hi nick, thanks for the replies. youve been a lot of help.. where can i get aftermarket h.i.d replacements? because what i want with my bulb is like a clear one with no lines of some sort(like frosted). i like it clear,, and with cheap but reasonable good looking angel eyes, thanks..

follow up question,, what bulb type does an E36 316i compact 1995 (see pic above) have? thanks..

Hi guys, wow! thanks for the replies.. what a good thread.. anyway bottom line is that when your headlights are not projector type then you cannot place h.i.d (w/ballast)., well if you've replaced your headlight with an aftermarket projector type, you can now put h.i.d(w/ballast)? here's a picture of my headlights, dont think its projector type..

Hi, I am looking for a silver e36 Bonnet for my 1995 BMW E36 3.16i Compact.. I just bought this car and the bonnet has a big patch of silver paint which is quite noticeable,owner told me it had a scratch so he had to spray painted it. and for a repaint of a bonnet would cost 315$. hi can i use the rubbing compound as a replacement for clay bar? and then finish of with wax and then polish. will it give the shine that you have?
