Infact I havent started there yet, in about a week & a half & then I'm off to work for "that other" brand!! I'm a free agent at the moment , hence, time to have alook around this forum!

-
true, I didnt see it was a 98, good spotting but still ask for the kit not just the lamps as it will be more expensive to buy the seprate components
-
nah, not on a public road, he deserved to go down
-
M5 & RS4 :thumb: fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
thats right, but like I said, you want the kit, not just the lamp, all you get for your $145 each is the lamp, no wire kit, & not even the bulb holder

really!!!Buy genuine plugs & depending on model, 8 times out of 10 you will get NGK -
The regs for getting a WOF are getting harder & harder every day it seems ( & as some of you will have found) and "ANY" sign of a tyre touching is a big no no !! note all my previous comments are mainly related to the front wheels as its seems to be these that will touch the body first for obvious reasons & Dryice, in answer to your question, I used to work at a BMW dealership for around 5 years so I saw all sorts of mods & modification problems over that time!! But I'm sure someone out there will have a (legal) solution

Just out of interest, rate these from 1= hottest to 10= not hot BMW 120i Audi RS4 BMW M5 (new e60) Mercedes-Benz CLS trabant Jane Lee from C4

-
does your car have foglamps now?? some of the early E36 that had no foglamps, also dont have the wireing, this can be dont by an auto elec , but check the price of a new (genuine) retofit kit , which includes the wire kit

interesting, but this guy is no legend if he drives like this on puplic roads, .......................hes a plonka. On the autobahns or race track, that cool, but on puplic roads.............................
-
wow, thats interesting, is the offset correct??you tend to find with the correct offset you have inner guard problems, I have seen this with the fitting of genuine rims with the correct offset, I understand that Holden rims fit, but the offset is wrong of course, its tyre size where you can come unstuck I've seen 235/40/18's rub & beleave it or not, even 225/45/ 17's on genuine rims
-
You may fined wheel contact problems with the inner guards which is also an instant WOF fail , I have seen 18" (infact in some cases 17') that have caused contact problems you also have to keep the same rolling radius as the orginal wheel & tyre setup which would mean you would need rubberbands for tyres ( ie super hard ride & can actually upset the handling especially on bumpy bits of road

Just bite the bullet & go get two "new" ones, they should last you another 15 years or so & you will never have to worry about them again Ive seen people faff around with second hand ones for "HALF PRICE OF NEW" only to find that a few months later they get stuck with a window down some rainy night so get another "HALF PRICE" switch, only to fine that within a year, thats giving trouble too so they are then onto thier third half price switch & so on just go get some new ones & injoy your car
-
I'm kinda with you on that one. have you seen on Cambell live on tv3 thay have thier own sort of motoing snip, its real sad, they have some JC wannabe who was also laughing & getting over excited as hes driving , it was then I thought "JC does the same, but somehow gets away with it, this other guys just a plonka"
-
ahh, DWTV, thats actually very good!! though I have never seen "automotor & sport"
-
wow, that sounds like an interesting programe, what sort of thing is on it?

Now Now, no need for that, BMW have some quality issues too ( every car manufacter has good & bad times if you look back over history)BMW have had their fair share of recalls & BMW NZ have done a few "BUY BACKS" because of this!! I,ve seen a brand new BMW with less than 200km ( yes, that not a type-o , 200km ) that had broken down for the "3rd" time & I mean broken down, not just a fault with something but a tow truck job!!!!............... , imagine how that owner was Ive also seen brand new cars( note plural ) , not even sold yet on their second trans Ive, seen all sorts of, shall we say "interesting" recalls over the years , most have been keeped very hush hush, & some that would shock.........uummmmmmm..........maybe that Honda isnt so bad after all...............nah..........its still an Honda

Forget trade me, & look on Ebay, make sure you do a world wide serch & dont even bother to look in NZ, as on a worldwide serch you will get a lot of options & at a good price, I always start with www.ebay.co.uk

BMW do a retro fit item, you get the bumper cover, mouldings fitting kit & grill all in one kit & they arnt to bad price wise around $800.00 plus gst the advantage of this is its a genuine item (so it fits first time) you know if you damage the cover or mouldings, you can just get a new , exact replacement & it will look right first time!! which ever dealership you go to, make sure you ask them to look up the "retro fit kit" as its heaps cheaper to buy this way its only one part number & its all included. price the seperate items & it will be hundreds $$$ more :thumb: as for the side skirts..................ummm ...yeah....is that the time, I better go!!!
