I'm running a cheapo Uniden at the moment, playing around with it. Even that had helped a lot several times.

Would cops know that someone is using radar detector? Once I spotted a cop car, travelling in the same direction, a fair distance away over twisty bits, and at the same time the unit chirped. But after that it stayed quiet while I slowly caught up to the cop. I suspect he turned his unit off as my detector didn't react at all.

i think some cars only have front 180degree detectors but alot of the highway police cars have front and rear mounted radars

i just run a uniden i had it hard wired in my 05 sti legacy wagon,loved it so much now its in my e30,like above it has payed for itself time and time again,i dont speed(much)but when you sneak over that 55mark with out realising its handy,it only cost me around $300 so not top of the line but still worked a treat

have a tow bar off one of my e30's,came off my 88 coupe,should(not 100% sure but should)fit most models of e30,was made localy by rangiora enginer has boot plates and 4 boltsw washers nuts etc.its also listed on trade me

also have a hidden tow bar with removable hitch from my 84 323i,its hidden behind rear chrome bumper looks great and can be removed so dont hit yourself on it,ask me about it

That was before I found out how common alot of the parts were so now my prices have dropped way down. I sold a PAIR of my factory front speakers for $10 - only cos they were still good (clear & loud) I just upgraded. So $40 for 2 old speakers that are well over 20years old is way over the hill. Nothing against OP but just need to consider what they are selling etc... with the parts I got left, I am selling cheaper than wreckers do.

If OP is offended, they can PM a mod to clean this thread up. As I said, no offence was intended but this is the Net so things can be taken the wrong way.

sorry but the aerial has never seemed to work on start up.can do drivers front speeker for you for $20 and i have put the rear mudflaps on my other e30,sorry,i will get into the boot and see what condition the aerial motor is in for you,
