  1. Yeah wasn't as keen on selling back in January but i am now, I want it gone so that i can upgrade but theres no point in even looking at a new car until this is sold because it could take some time to find the right buyer etc.

    Cheers for the comments.

  2. Cheers Yuen, if no one puts there hand up i would really appreciate that...i know that you have a very good idea about BMW's in general so any help would be mint.

Yeah was just putting this out there at the mo as i am really busy with work, study etc so this is the easier option at this present time.

If you can't find anyone with better knowledge of the E46 (I'm more of an E36 guy), I'd be happy to have a look for you, and I'll see if I can get my friend who used to have an E46 325 to come along to benchmark the power.

Maybe get it driven down to Glenn for an inspection? Would be safest if you are really serious about the car.

Cheaper is not always better and in this case the one below just doesn't look or sit right and it would be easier if i got a car that looked somewhat of how i wanted it when i got it as i dont have alot of time on my hands.

Plus i want one with under 100ks, something that won't trouble me with wear problems in the near future. High k's seem to drop the price dramatically with this model. Cheers for the link though.

    It does look good

Have you seen this one though? E46 touring cheaper ;)

  3. I am looking at a certain car on Trademe and am very keen on it, problem is is that it is in Auckland. So before I buy a ticket up there to have a look at it and find that it's not worth the money I was wondering if anyone on here would mind taking it for a test drive??

It is this car here 00' e46 325i wagon.

Being an e46 i would preferably like to have someone who knows a bit about this particular model, but if theres none of those around anyone with a sensible point of view will do.

Things I am looking for are performance (does it feel good, not sluggish for a 325i), what condition the leather is in, what the car looks like in person (anything the photos dont show), any cons on the vehicle and any pros that aren't mentioned in the trademe ad. Also if you could confirm if the BBS wheels are genuine.

Thats basically it, if someone could have a look at this for me it would be much apprecited....and if i do end up travelling up to buy it i may just have to swing round to yours for some complie=metary beers.

    Cheers,

    Mavrick

  4. I am looking at selling the e30 and buying an e46, basically looking for a newer vehicle and one that has four doors. Also something that has less maintenance than a 21 year old car.

I ideally want a 330i but i think that it streches my budget a little to far and im not to fond of spending my profit from my first home on a car...

I am looking at 323i and up, 318's are out of the question, there's no way that i am powering down. I would like to have it in manual but i know that they are quite rare and that the 330i didn't come in a manual. I personally didn't think that i would own a auto car until i was old(er) but the cars i am interested in all seem tobe automatic so i guess i'll just have to bite the bullet.

My budget is 20k and would be good to see a little bit of change for some wheels and susp in the future.

The specs i am lookign to fill are: Black, under 100k, leather and an msport kit. I may be asking a bit much but there aint much point in buying a car your not happy with.

I know that Josh (hybrid) is the resident e46er but all opinions are welcome.

I have tralled tardme and seen the regulars on there. I will be in contact with the loacl BMW shop (jeff gray P. North) as i know them quite well.

Im in no rush to sell/buy but am just searching at the moment.

So basically after all that i am looking for pro's and cons of certain models or if there's a buyer guide avaliable hat would be mint.

My apologies for any spelling mistakes.

    Cheers,

    Mavrick

  5. I would consider that one if it were still available. (Is it?).

And yes I would certainly consider one that needs a little work.

But basics that are difficult to replace, (like dashboards), I would prefer to be good.

e30 mint, not 20,000km Jappa mint.

There are very few facelift 325i coupes for sale ATM.

    Cheers

Ahh k thats all good, thought you may have known they were that expensive anyway.

Don't think the above is still for sale, has been taken off trademe but someone here may have the contact details.

My tech 1 is for sale, but if you have your heart set on a tech 2 i'd say just wait for that, plus you've already done your dask with a tech 1.

    Cheers,

    Mavrick

  6. The only car i can think of that would intrest you as being mint would have been the facelift m325i that was sitting on trademe for $16,800....wouldn't you rather buy one for say $10k then spend the rest of the money customizing/restoring it yourself?

A mint m325i is would command some serious coin thats all.

    My 2c

  7. Thanks folks.

Knew there was a reason for asking you lot :P

16' Basket weaves should be round the $800 mark?

Depends what sortof 16x8 weaves you are talking about....16" weaves the same style of the 15" weaves found on m325i's will genereally be the wrong off-set as they will be off a 5, 6 or 7 series. They're prob round the $600-$800 mark.

Whereas 16x8 BBS RS's will be upwards of $3000 if you can find them (in mint condition).....If you find some in average condition the owner prob doesn't know the rarity of the wheels he/she has.

  8. Whats a stagger :( ?

I also think they look tough.

    120pounds per pair x 4 = 480 pounds = $1223nz. +shipping... a fair bit.

120 per pair? Wouldn't that be 240pounds in total then? $1223 isn't bad when your shipping wheels over...shipping would prob be $400 or so.

Yeah i guess it'd be a love hate thing, i just think they look real 80's, hence perfect for an e30.

  9. Have for sale my 87' m325i.

Have owned for 3 years approx and have had regular oil changes and services completed. Has a service history dating back to 2000.

    Pretty much your standard motorsport.

    280k's on the clock.

Has been lowered on low king springs (35mm) since the photo, will include original springs in the sale.

Has just had $1200 worth of rust removed from the bottom corners of the windscreen and the rear arch.

Has direzza rubber on the wheels, not to sure on the tread depth, probably 4mm or so.

Will be sold with brand new fogs (not installed) worth $300.

    Cons:

The Drivers seat needs recovering. Have had a quoted for $300 for both seats to be replaced in non BMW fabric.

Gear knob needs replacing, i've just put up with it (still driveable)

    Tacho works intermitently (spelling?)

Has been a good reliable car with no major troubles since i've owned it.

    Am located in P. North.

Photo was taken when i bought the car but nothing has changed really, has been lowered slighty as mentioned above.

    Am wanting 10k ono.
