Nah didnt race with V8's expect in the practics round were i raced a V8 powerd ute and bet him. Raced 2 striped type R integras and a civic. Only got 4 runs in due to the weather it pissed down. I just hop'ed in what ever lane i didnt care. I got Nah the R/T wasnt a red light you can get .001 and its not a red light as long as you dont pass the line till the green light then your sweet.... There was a 3.2 1997 M3 EVO there that pulled 2 runs that i saw and got 14.2 each run. By the way my times are on full street car styles not striped out or anything with 98 octane gas... had some sh*t in the boot to. Brendon

Took a 840i for a spin the other day, does anyone on here own one? It was a Manual, which i was surprised to see. Smooth as a mofo, no overly impressed with the power, abit disapointing realy. I have to say it was a quick blat up the m'way so didnt get to play a high speed so i dinno what thats like. All good a high engine speeds realy rev happy. Did a little drift as you do and it handled well considering the size. A very cool car tho, alsome looks. I own one not for the price that there at right now but maybe down the track. edited to add a "t" on a "at"

avgas and race gas are completely diffrent, avgas is .60cents a litre from a airport (well it was 6months ago) and race fuel is $2.50 a litre both are imported both are much cleaner burning slighty lead based. race fuel is 100 - 102 octane, avgas is always constant 102 octane all around the world. I dont belive that race fuel is stale avgas, considering stale fuel is only brought about if the standerd fuel is left to get warm with oxygen causing it to decompose and lose a significant lose in octane. Airports dont store fuel like that, they store it in highly controlled conditions. Its $102 US per sensor for my car, i need 4 haha damit. Ill stick to drag/track days. Ive got a company gas but i cant find a f'n mobile that sells race fuel haha allthough i can order it from MOBILE NZ for a good price so i might look in to buying it in 50 litre drums (or 2 galon what eva they have)

Im telling you its noticable in my m3, was noticable in all the cars i run it on. Do you notice a diffrence when you run your car on 91 and 98, well its the same thing. The less performance orientated your engine is the less you will notice it, id say. Its not illegal to run your car on - just illegal to pump it in to your car. You have to pump it in to a carry away tank.

Did any one else get the invite to go on that race across america? Though some other US based BMW M-Car club site there was a bunch of invitations to this "Race across america". $30,000 US entry fee with a prize pool of $2,000,000 !!!! Your entry fee inculeds a GPS system which is fitted to your car and a Video cam, both must be running 24Hrs a day no matter what to stop cheats. Speeds of 200mph + !!!!! limited to 100 entrys wicked. I would so love to do that kinda race, the ones in europe also look f'n alsome. I know the owner of M3POWR got and invite who else did?

I know of a race that happends across nz, kinda a gumball rally. I havnt raced in it (although i would love to), I dont know how often or when they race but what i do know is you must be invited and you must have a huge amount of money and a conection within the group. Auckland to Auckland, no real rules just a meeting point in auckland, wellington, queenstown and back again. no money but prizes are involed, i think its more a group of rich old boys havin some fun. I have a couple of customer that have hint that they race, all wealth bisness men with AMG cars. Its well talked about at my work tho no one knows much about it. A RS4 Wagon won it last time round so the rumours go. Any one hear of a similar thing?

Last friday night i took my car down to mere mere to drag race it, just interested to see what it does before and after my modifications. I purchase 15liters of racing fuel and took that down with me. I ran my tank to near on dry (maybe 3-5 litres) by the time i got there so the race fuel would be as close to stright as i could get it. Unfortuntly 250 cars were there before me so i wasnt allowed to race :banghead: I wanted to test my are on racing fuel any way so, i chucked in my 15litres and ahead back after 1hr of watching the races. The power improvement was noticed as soon as i put my foot down on SH1. Heaps more power thoughout the rev range. I had a fantasic hassle free 220km in parts drive back to auckland with no problems. I hear people always saying you will F your O2 sensors and sh*t but i personaly have never had a problem and used it in at lease 6 of my cars. The M3 as the most noticeable power gain tho. What do you guys think of the stuff? At $2.50 a litre its getting up there with normal fuel costs and those of use with weekend cars could nearly run our cars soely on it.... Just after everyones thoughts?

Hey this weekend just gone i installed a K&N performance panel filter. K&N reakon you will get a 7-8hp gain... i dont think so but none the less the power increase was noticeble. I now have more mid-range power, no change in intake sound. Fuel economy seems to be the same. What filters do you boys recomend? I like the look of the TMS carbon intake with POD filter and bigger AFM.... anyone using anything like this? Cheers Brendon
