    E3 windscreen

Hi, does anyone have a windscreen that would fit a (E3) 1974 BMW 2500 cheers
  4. Hi, I have a Z3 softtop and was wondering how hard it would be to retrofit a second hand hardtop? There is one on trademe at present. The preparation kits through BMW are way too expensive but I figure there should be someone around who could do this. Any ideas? Or is it not worth the effort? Cheers
  5. Hey, the Z3 is underpowered (everyone knows that) but unless you've got a lot of cash the M's and 3L are too expensive. I'm just after the best options to get the most out of it. I suspect it would cost too much to swap the engine and lead to who knows what problems. So unless you change cars the supercharger seems like an OK option.
  6. Thanks for the comments. The Downing Atlanta kit looks the best its around 5K NZD and increases the power from around 140 hp to 215 hp and is supposed to produce a better balanced car than the 2.8 (lighter weight). I have a Z3 and when I have the money I might look at importing it. There is some good info at; http://downingatlanta.com/da_superchargers_info_new.htm Including an article in European Car from 1999.
  7. Has anyone supercharged a Z3 1.9 or E36 equivalent. I've read articles on the Downing Atlanta supercharges which sound impressive but I haven't read about any Z3’s here in NZ being supercharged. Downing Atlanta and KO supercharges are expensive (and I’m not sure if they are compatible with European built cars) are there any good alternatives available locally and who are the best people to get these done here in NZ. I'm just curious. Its probably cheaper to buy a later model but manuals are hard to come by

Mags and tyres 1980’s 6 series 390 mm metric. I have the full five mags with good Michelin tires 3 @ 220 55 390 (2 very good the other still Ok) and two at 200 60 390 (almost new). As you would know if your interested the tires cost loads new so anyone interested with a good offer contact me. k.safi.niwa.co.nz 07 8561716
  9. Hi, I was just going to put this on the site Engine 633 (1986) (was injected but these used on another engine, no injectors or carbs). I brought it from Mosen BMW for $1000 for an old 2500 (1974). It ran well at times (powerful engine, but I had trouble using the old 2500’s carbs and electrics, fuel pump etc) I don’t think I ever got running to its potential. I used it for about 10K max. It seemed to use a little bit of oil but I’m now not sure if this was due the poor electrics and engine set up. The clock in the 633 read only 80K for what that’s worth. Offers wanted.
  10. Has anyone got and old auto gearbox suitable for a 1974 2500?
