once i get the radiator out I'll probably be able to get a better look at where its coming from. I have had the rocker cover done once before. i guess it could be coming from above the plugs .
-
could it possibly be another Solenoid Valve?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=DM62&mospid=47544&btnr=11_2170&hg=11&fg=15 from this page I found out one plug could be the Cam pulse generator plug, should any oil or liquid be coming from this? the other one would be the plug sitting between the number 8 & 9 on the image. which i cant seem to find yet

Hey Guys, Was hoping that someone might now what the two plugs just above the lower radiator hose are on the engine end of the hose. As its dripping something that could be oil onto it. Im assuming its from one of those plugs if not both. I'm replacing the Radiator and Lower Radiator hose, and since i'll be having that space once its out to work with I'd like to know what they are and then see how easy it is to fix it while the Radiator and hose is out the way. Reason im replacing the hose is due to the oil dripping on it. Ive tried finding it on this site but havent found it yet. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?model=DM62&mospid=47544&hg=11 I have attached 2 pictures to try and make it easier to the area im talking about. Thanks in advance for any help on this

So the one one that looks like a bolt is the drain plug and the other one is the fill plug? So this one is filled from the bottom up? -

There are 2 bolts on the bottom, one with the Hex i know is the drain plug, not sure what the other one is for... Filter? -
Hey guys, Ive been wanting to do my transmission flush and change the filter, I have everything ready but just cant find the fill plug anywhere. Searched the web with no luck of finding a transmission like mine. Any help would be much appreciated Here are some images of my transmission, couldn't take any wider shots cause was up on jack stands with not too much clearance.

E39 M-Spec Splash Panel Front Wheel Guard
AlexWill replied to AlexWill's topic in General Discussion
oh right US$130.25 each sounds reasonable. Yea i have my sensor tucked in behind the bumper at the moment so it wont get damaged, If i disconnect it, it says the outside temperature is -40 degrees ahaha odd huh. But yea would like to have that area looking nice too, but can live without it if its too expensive for what its worth. -

what would make one side more expensive than the other? Would it be because of the sensor? -

Yea true, I have found a wrecker that had some, but they were not in the condition i was after. So was guessing I'd have to go for new, but thanks, will contact them and ask. -

These are the ones im looking for -
Hey guys, the panels under my motorsport bumper look pretty badly damaged and I've been wondering how much they cost and where I could get them for both left and right side. Seems to be part of the front wheel guard thanks in advance

That a better size im guessing?

Yea will be back to Original first picture in December this year, being used as a wedding car for my mates wedding, he wants my car to match his. Use to polish this car alot before it got dipped... was nice to have the mirror effect on the car, the matte look is nice for a change too.
-
Thanks,It's basically just a rubber coating once it cures great for protecting against stone chips too. Much better finish than vinyl wrapping and more affordable, and can be easily removed once your sick of the colour, no sticky residue left behind.
-
Yes thats right. Could try the blacked out grills but I've always thought it just makes it look like the car has 2 big kidney holes in the front but if it looks bad it can easily be taken off. So worth a try. Will post pics up once roof spoiler and grills are done. Ahaha alright will ditch the stripes idea since it doesn't seem to be too favorable
-
It seems to be a matte version of the Ford blue i saw today ahaha. Was expecting a slightly darker blue when i applied the dip to my car, but still happy with the outcome was thinking a red stripe to go with the MSport look but then I'd have to get a darker shade dip too, but then again I wasnt too sure if I should go with the stripe or just leave it. A drop and bigger wheels would be a little later on, Been pretty keen on M6 mags

Thanks, yea is a pretty good product who ever thought up of it.Yeap, Ive had police drive behind me many times before and they seem to be fine with it as it still shows the reflectors in the rear lights when light is shined onto it and I think that is the main thing WOF looks for too and its been passing WOF too. Do understand the Insurance issue too, they seem to try and get out of any payouts they can. Headlights has had a tinted transparent vinyl put over them, didnt want my headlight to be too dark
-
Yes it has been platidipped, thanks. thanks for your advice on the black roof
-
It comes off when you want it off, a small scratch wont cause it to peel, my rear bumper has 3 pretty big scratches in it which I managed to do straight after a paintjob was done on it, but the dip has covered it now and is barely visible unless you go really close up to it. Yea I do like the outcome of the wheels, but the way I did it with the wheels doesnt make it too durable, didnt cost me much to do it that way, but if I did it with more than 1 coat it would cost a bit more, a design like that cant easily be done with more than 1 coat, but I have found a way to do it with more than 1 coat so will be something I will redo a little later after the roof is made black. I did this my self, the cost would vary depending what design you'd like on your wheel, One solid colour would be the cheaper option which you'd be looking at around $220 if we do it.
