  1. i couldn't find a lot of info on here that could give me clear direction,im restoring a 73 2002tii but some e21 parts fit also so im in need of full gasket sets for motor(m10) ,gbox,diff brake work( new lines, master cyl, boosters rebuilt, discs,drums,pads) full pipe set for cooling sys,oil lines and fuel/injector sys steering parts, new alternator/starter,clutch disc/master cyl. potentially a new radiator....... i could go on for hours..... any info or direction would be greatly appreciated! oh and i would like to avoid the dealers as im not a millionare! ive been a muppet and just found a page called bmw parts and service on here, so if theres anything else you can add i'll still take it!
  2. Looking for a boot lid for my e28. It's a 525e - Car is Steel Blue from memory - be good if I could get it in the same - cars paint is not flash so I'm not fussy if the clear coat is poor.
  3. Hey people, I've done something kinda dumb - long story, won't bore you but I fed a hook through a hole in the sheet metal just below the boot latch (body side) then closed the boot. It won't open now of course, doesn't matter whether locked or not and the central locking appears to be still working via key and from unlocking at the front doors... I believe the lock mechanism itself is fine, but the hook is obstructing the release of the catch. Two questions: do any of you know a way into an e28 boot that doesn't involve cutting?! wall behind the back seat is solid steal. do any of you have a boot lid that I can buy if I have get the tin opener out? e30 boots are apparently identical. Colour is light metalic blue. It's one of those ridiculous problems... Of course the boot was/is full of camping gear and food for the weekend just gone by... Cheers
