Heater core removal

Recommended Posts

I have a leak problem with my non- air con heater (when i bought the car the heater was disconnected).

The valve is easy to take off, but the core wont come out without taking the top (metal) bulkhead pipe off?

The screws connecting the metal bulkhead pipe to the core are on the wrong side for me to undo!!! How is this done? does the WHOLE heater box need to come out?? How?

Pull the rubber grommet out from around the heater pipes and access the screws from the engine bay side of the firewall.
