Hi all,

anyone go to the Whangamata Beach Hop?

Went down Friday night and stayed at my Grandparents bach, just got home now.

Was 2000+ Classic (mostly American muscle) cars.

90,000+ <apparently/not confirmed> people crammed into the place.

Although not my kind of cars, the atmosphere was amazing, Rock'n'Roll music everywhere-people dancing in the streets.

Lowriders with hydros, Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Corvettes, Cobras, Ford Thunderbirds, Hemi Cudas etc,

Only saw couple of Bimmers Needs more of those

That first pic you have there with the creme car with black vinyl roof looks like my mates Dodge Monaco, just bought it over from the USA along with a black bagged out El Camino, 2 Corvettes and a Buick Riviera.

Hey Sam, there would have been a few Rat's down there, my mate that just bought all the cars i was talking about above is alse building a 32' Tudor, Rat Rod Stz. Ill get some photos for you if you want? I spent sunday arvo helping them stick the 4 speed box on the back of the big block chevy thats going into it.

Would have been an awesome weekend. Im so going next year.
