Gus 5 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 whilst braking from round 120 k or so, my car wobbles, the steering wheel wobbles...not very fun.....it ONLY happens under braking and ONLY at relatively high speeds.....im maybe thinking warped brake discs but my front ones are relatively new, and it has only just started doing this in the last couple of weeks....any suggestions? its irritating me! E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 sounds like the discs Gus. The stock ones are shite, too small and too thin to dissapate the heat generated at higher than normal speeds. what are you doing driving at 120 anyway!!

*sic 1 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 you mean warpage? y0u m0ve t0 the b0nus stage y0!when the discs cant get rid of the heat easy enough they tend to warp, some even crack!! get some dba slotted rotors, not drilled (apparently they warp easy to)
Viking 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 I thought slotted rotors are hell on pads? Any idea how more frequent you would need to change them for normal street use?

Well I did have some wheels that went over them.Sorry Gus, don't mean to tease. But yeah, sounds like your discs aren't up to the abuse. The only real solution (not bandaids) is bigger wheels and bigger brakes, or, drive like a granny.

I'm running a E32 750il MC. They are only $350 brand new anyway.
