325i head on 320i? (e30)

Recommended Posts

alright, i know you can put a 325i inlet manifold and AFM onto a 320i head, with small modification to the the inlet on the head. (march TBMW). And expect some small gains. You must keep the original injectors though.

(also note they say an e21 cam from 320i or 323i will also bring small gains?, 260 degrees i think)

But my question is, can you swap the whole head? ...as the 325i has bigger inlet valves. Using 320i injectors.

And would there be any gain? ...more than swapping just the inlet manifold and AFM.

Also, off topic, are the 325i and 320i ECU's different?

What would happen if i put a 325i ECU in a 320i?

these are the questions that come with to much spare time. ^_^

cheers

antony.

P.S

I know the simple answer is swap the rest of 325i whilst I'm there, and something along them lines will be happening later on.

no the combustion chambers and pistons are different

just MAYBE do the intake manifold and TB if you must do something, else just put a 2.5 in
