PBOY23 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 hi there im thinking of importing this system mainly just the heat shield around the whole thing wich is factory oem plastic with a oem rubber gasket on the top to seal it when bonnets shut . can i expect much from this i want it to have a good sound ive got the piping and pod already , if anyone knows a cheap way or where in nz you can source this it would be much a help to me i think its 150 for the shield delivered cheers (the picture shows an m3 but its to suit a 320/5/8 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PBOY23 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 None of the intake bits in the pic are OEM , the manifold is same as 328 as it is a US M3. OEM air box is same as 328 You will gain noise and about 1 kw depending on engine size - do it if you want the noise ok well it states oem plastic an gasket i have a 320i the one in the picture is diffrent im just wanting to buy the heatsheild/suround Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Yuen 16 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 I have a 320i just like you... an intake would just make noise and perhaps make the engine more responsive or lively, but it's just for noise really, don't do it for power.
