jpp 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 I was on the understanding that its hard to re-register, well impossible, cars that are quite ancient? Or am I thinking of when you import? Is it like $250 to register if all its good?? Car is a 1989. Thanks. [Would ring, but shut, wanna do deal tomorrow] Cheers, Jared.
tibbs.james 1 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 I think if there is proof of previous registration in nz then its not too bad But i think if its something that has been imported and dosn't meet safert regulations then its dam near impossible
Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 I believe 1991 is the magic year. If first registered in NZ before then it's not too bad, around 350 if no problems, and you have proof of previous registration. That was the year frontal regs came into force I think. Hartage 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) The above is correct, wont need frontal impact, or much done, IF it has provable NZ history, either new or as an import Has It got number plates on? Edited June 9, 2007 by Hartage
