Muzzie 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2007 94 E36 3 Series, M42 motor, 4 speed automatic. The torque converter wont go into lockup until 100k indicated, which is far too high IMO, plus it creates excess wear on the trans and motor and uses more gas. Is it possible to adjust the speed that the TC locks up at?? If so, how is it done? Thanks

Muzzie 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2007 i have a nice 5spd auto for that car .. locks up in 4th and 5th no probs How much we talking? And is it a straight bolt out bolt in affair? It's the gfs car so thats would be a last resort, id rather change the current transmissions lockup speed if possible.
