joel 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 Hello Have a bit of a problem that I can’t figure out. Car is creaky and groans when driving along, the noises seem to be coming from all 4 corners. Thinking its something in the suspension? Took it 2 the suspension shop 2day and they weren’t sure either, reckon it may b the rubber bits above the top hats? Thought I mite ask you guys what u think before they go pulling it to bits. Thanks a lot Joel

OLLIE 26 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 the top shock mounts cause more of a knocking sound than a creaking sound. a creaking sound is more like worn shocks or something.

OLLIE 26 Report post Posted July 23, 2007 those are upper shock mounts (rear) they could be shot, jump up and down so to speak on the back of the car and watch them, see if they have excessive play and knock. easy DIY job if you know how to use basic tools.
