mackt 1 Report post Posted August 26, 2007 Thought this was really useful to have on this site. [Thanks to edd_jeddie at www.e36coupe.com] might save breaking bits. There are 8 screws that need to come out. The top 4 allow you just to remove the airvents and lock mechanism for the glovebox. Don't forget the 2 hiding under the small covers - flick out with a small screwdriver. The lower 4 will allow you to remove the glovebox to expose all the electronic goodies hiding behind the glovebox. You will need to remove two wires for the glovebox lights. To reassemble I found it really easy to attach vents back to glovebox and slide the whole lot back into place. Tim
Jaredsc 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2007 Do you have a weird looking switch on the LH corner inside the glovebox? I do, and havent a clue what its supposed to do.
str8_6 275 Report post Posted August 26, 2007 (edited) Do you mean the plug for the rechargeable torch? Edited August 26, 2007 by str8_6
Jaredsc 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 No, not a plug, just a large switch. Looks like something you would find on a commercial machiene. I assume its supposed to switch somthing on/off.

Can you point me further into the site, not just the home page? Thanks. No, not a plug, just a large switch. Looks like something you would find on a commercial machiene. I assume its supposed to switch somthing on/off. Sure its not the light on/off switch? Does it look factory or aftermarket?

Jaredsc 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Hmm, looks a bit big to be that. I thought maybe it had something to do with the seat heating, as I am sure mine doesnt work. I think it could be the fuse though because both of them dont seem to. You press the button, it illuminates, but then flicks off after a few seconds.
