Sunroof lining removal

Recommended Posts

Another annoying little Question.

Has anyone taken the lining that sits under the sunroof off?

I've got as far as to undo clips at the front of sunroof and at the back but there is a little bracket that slides along with the lining that doesn't want to come off.

just slide the vinyl panel back after pulling the clips down . then tilt up and unscrew the metal sunroof panel .

then remove the vinyl panel and plastic arms that are clipped in

It sounds easy but be prepared to spend plenty of time to get it right. When you get it back togther go slowly when closing your sunroof again to make it tracks properly. You risk tearing your lining if you dont.

Guys, what type of bit do you use for the bolts in the sunroof?

They're like allen keys but allen keys don't work.

And Ive broken 2 size 4 flat bits on them.

Hope you save some of those words for when you have to put the whole thing back in again
