far4ngn 14 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Ok the rear wiper on the Compact work fine, but the wash function doesnt work. I've checked the rubber hose on the rear wiper and this is clear, the washer pump with the hose removed works well. However, I blasted some air down the pipe to the rear of the car, all I got was rusty water coming out?? Somewhere in the wash system is their a valve of some kind to stop water running back etc? Yuen 16 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Yup the valve is a one-way valve, and has been the culprit in many instances where the washing system doesn't work. I believe it blocks up.
