Recaro interior for my e30M3

Recommended Posts

As the title says, im putting a full recaro interior into my e30 M3..

I've just had the first pictures of the Recaro seats sent to me today. They are being shipped from Germany by next week and will be at my work in 2-3 weeks time :) (Which works well as my e30 m3 should be finally ready, with rebuilt motor in 3-4weeks)

Will also have Recaro adaptor brackets which will bolt onto the original e30M3 floor mounts.

Front seats are Recaro Sr's - custom order (part of s14.net gb)

Back seats are matching (just the fabric, i'll be stretching them onto the original seat foam)

Heres the first pictures. (More to come once I get them into NZ).

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

I wanted to keep the seats pretty plain but chose to have the ///M stripes added as a little something extra :)

And the Leather/alcantara will look really nice.. just have to take good care of it though!!

Planning on adding the EVO red seatbelts to finish off the interior.. Promise I will get more pics up once the seats arrive & when my M3 turns up i'll get pics of everything.

Cheers,

Laurence.

They look great, the stripes coupled with the red seatbelts will be hotness.

Yep :)

Can't wait to get them into the car.

Hopefully with the bracket set-up they won't touck the doors, as I have heard of some installs where the seats have rubbed against the doors on hard cornering.

Laurence.

Tell me that's alcantara and not suede.

How much does the rear cover run? I like.

Haha, good spotting!! Yes it's alcantara not suede.. Was a long day at the office last week.

Rear seat cover was around $1500 NZD but it's a bit hard to estimate as I did the whole lot as a package..

Called NZPost today with my traking numbers & i can expect the seats to arrive in New Zealand by the end of the week :D :D :D.

BTW if anyone else wants a similar set of RECARO seats done the company who did mine have 2 sets left at a pretty good price. You can have just the front seats, or, front & matching rear seats. PM me if you're keen and i can pass details on. If you're worried about quality then just click on the pics on the first post :) Their craftmanship is A+.

Cheers,

Laurence.

What are you doing with your standard m3 interior?

Front seats will probably be up for sale as soon as I get the new ones installed. I think the rear seats I'm buying are just the fabric so i might need to use the original seat to stretch the new leather over. (not too sure on that until I actually see the rear seats).

Cheers,

Laurence.

UPDATE:

Just had an update by NZPost.. the seats have arrived into NZ (Auckland international) this morning and are going through sorting to come to Wellington. Lol, why did it have to happen on a Friday.. haha now I'll have to wait until Monday for them to be delivered to me.

I can expect the seats to be delivered Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning..

I'll get some pics up once they arrive. :D

It's like Christmas coming early!! Can't wait to see what they look like in the flesh. :D

LOL, at least my new work seat will be comfortable for a few days (until I take them home anyways haha).
