318 AC SCHNITZER compact

hi guys i am thinking about this

but dont know much about 318s if any one knows if this is a special model or just a 318 compact waring an AC kit any light on the subject from somone in the know would be really cool.

Hey Jared, best way to find out would be to ask the owner, or maybe you could get the VIN and check with a BMW dealer or ACS themselves, -but in general the ACS cars I have seen come in from Japan are just ACS kitted, nothing more.

This one looks to be the same, ACS type II wheels and kit, minus ACS mirrors and can't really see from the pictures if it has a ACS rear skirt with the ACS exhaust tip. which other ACS Tis I have seen have.

i was under the impression:

e30 318i : m40

e30 318iS: m42

e36 e318i/ti: m43

e36 318iS: m44

afaik the e36 318s were still SOHC belt driven..would love to know if im wrong please

I thought after a certain year the M42 was replaced with an M43.

My brothers 1993 318i has a completly different motor to my 1996 318i.

316 TI had M43...single cam

318 TI was M42 (1800cc) till 1997 then it changed to M44 (1900cc) ...both twin cam

early E36 318I was M40..then went to M43

E36 IS has M42 or M44 after 1997
