Diff Problems!!

Recommended Posts

I own an E34 535, just had to get a new diff housing as the axle sheared from the diff, ripping the diff from its housing & mounts. Checked the internals for cracks or chipped teeth, all appeared ok. Had the diff in for roughly two weeks now, having more problems!!!

Every time the trans chops down a gear, the diff makes a banging sound, even when I put it into drive, what could it be???

Obviously the axle shearing from the diff has done some damage of some kind, I'm hoping it is repairable :(

Could someone let me know of what this could be, cheers!
