325_driver 422 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 hey guys i have been hunting round trying to find the problem with my 535auto trans as i would like to find it out before i do my conversion i over heard some mechanic talking about 7 8 and 9 pin boxes, and if they didnt match the car you could have all soughts of problems e.g. mine doesnt reverse, (park neutral and reverse all go foward) but in drive 1,2,3 it drives fine, and has plenty of power, e.g. i had it sitting at 190 down my road easy the old box to the car blew becasue of auto cooler leaks, the owner then got another box of tradme only to discover that it didnt work either, but i was thinking maybe its a perfectly fine box that is the wrong pin ? so the car wont recognise it ?? any one second that opinion? or is it hard to tell?
