Just heard the news as well, a great shame, the death of a real great Kiwi.

RIP Sir Ed.

Word.

It really sucks, he did so much in his life, I remember doing an assignment on his life in 5th form.

He also lived in Papakura where I live, hell theres even a school ~500m from where I live that is named after him.. He never recovered from the altitude sickness he had when he climbed everest, been hindering him for a while id say.

RIP.

He was the only living person to be on our notes. I doubt the note will be replaced after the things he did to put NZ on the map.

RIP.
