Andrew 30 Report post Posted January 11, 2008 Is anyone with a bundy line bender and some experience building hard brake lines able to help me make 3 shortish lines for my racecar? I DIYed the double-flare and forced the stock tube to go where I want, but I'm not happy with it and don't want to drive it like that. I have the flaring tool and all the bundy/fittings. It needs to have a metric bubble flare on one end and a double flare on the MC side (i'm not sure how to make a bubble flare) Ideally ASAP or before the weekend of the 18th/19th. Thanks! CamB 48 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Bend it up and take it into a brake specialist and they can flare the ends? Shouldn't cost much since it's a quick job - the important bit is their flash flaring tool. FWIW, I did bubble flares using the first part of a double flare. It wasn't quite right ... but the third time it sealed fine. Not on my race car (on a mate's one day race Peugeot, haha).
