What petrol to use?

Recommended Posts

i ran 91 last week (new bmw owner) but then did a fill with 95 and it ran better , im going to try 98 next time and try that, mayby alternate between fills, what do you guys think?

thanks in advance

I mucked around with this a few years back and from my experience with the 4 cylinders is that 95 is best value for your dollar.

Never ever ever use prepay always get the guy to release the pump or drive off

I never have trouble getting the cashier to release the pump, day or night, as I go to the same Z and Caltex almost every time.

Loyalty I guess?

BP 98, keen to try some E85 from gull

Check whether your car can actually take E85, from memory all BMW can only take E10.

E85 are for the newer SAABs, Chrysler and Dodge where the fuel systems are ok with the high Ethanol content.

There's pretty much no Prepay in Dunedin.

Mobil Hillside use to do it, but stopped. Go there after work at 3am or 5am and no prepay. even on Saturdays.

I use 95 in the Touring, even though it's Optioned to use 91.
