Andrew 30 Report post Posted January 28, 2008 We’ve already told you that Gerhard Richter, a member of the management team of the BMW M GmbH, will be assigned project leader on the upcoming Gran Turismo. Of course this means that the Gran Turismo will have massive M-influence from the get go. Well now we have some more information on the development of the upcoming BMW flagship model. The car will fit above the 7-Series when it hits markets in 2011, and will compete with other four-door coupes including the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, Audi A7 and the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Power is expected to come from variants of a V8 and V12 engine. According to Garel Rhys, director of Center of Automotive Industry Research at Cardiff Business School Wales, BMW could sell up to 15,000 units of the Gran Turismo globally.
