10 thous or .25 mm.. Engine dead cold. Between the valve and accentric adjuster. I'm presuming your asking for your 1990 325 I. There is a proceedure. Do it wrong and it'll run worse. Adjustment must be done on the back of the cam lobe on the base circle.
