Performance calculator 1/4mile, trap speed etc

Recommended Posts

Check this site out, very interesting indeed and i feel they are quite accurate with there findings if you type in the correct info ie your excate weight and flywheel horsepower, obviously the true figures may diviate a little with wind/surface/tires/no lsd/lsd etc but i think this its pretty close, interesting anyway

ITS ONLY CLOSE TO ACURATE IF YOU USE THE CORRECT FIGURES NO GUESSES OK

This is my car:

DRIFTYS E30 V8

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 340

0 - 100 (Secs) : 20.60

60 - 100 (Secs) : 13.30

Quarter Mile (Secs) : 15.74 I think this is pretty much spot on for a healthy standard 325i

Hi Riley

It's a good find. I didn't mean to knock it. Just keen to see the actual figures versus the theorectical.

Here are the ones for the 540.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 286

Weight without Driver (KG) : 1680

Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 172.97

0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.21

0 - 100 (Secs) : 15.30

60 - 100 (Secs) : 9.09

Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.53

Terminal Speed (MPH) : 97.43

Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.43

Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 98.53

Not far off. I did a 14.78 with a BBQ in the boot. Who knows? I was going faster than that at the finish though.

1680 KG? Is that including the BBQ? I thought they are about 1600.

No, I'm currently sitting in my hotel room in Christchurch and think the manual says about 1680kg. I must go and weigh it sometime.

It's still pretty close. I'd just prefer to see real figures of what you have done. In theory I'm capable of scoring Claudia Schiffer. In reality.....not much.

Oh no I totally agree with you there Cain no offence taken, its all theoretical and totally sceptical, and there are so many other variances to take into account. But i actually think its relatively close to what actually might accrue. Its all fun though :) I cant wait to get mine on the 1/4 trust me lol

When are you off home mate? Shame you couldn't stay for the track meet this weekend

Departing this afternoon at 1630. I shot out to the workshop briefly yesterday to have a look at the cars being prepped for the endurance series.

Richard was off to Invercargill for the race down there.

I'm sure there'll be some nice cars at Ruapuna on Saturday. Have fun.
