bumpstop325 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 about 40% increase they are about 65% eff. where turbos are 70-85% eff.(ball park fig) there are pro's and con's about each. trade offs is a big thing. turbos are way more harder to manage and setup correctly. dont get me wrong, SC's are, but NOT as hard. depends on wot type of SC unit you want weather you need to have to make a custom intake manifold. also depends where you want ur power from SC........lower down torque, no lag TC........high end, lag
M325is 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 apparently you would spend an extra $1000 ontop of the sc to get everything up to strength, eg. flywheel. Is it really worth it is the biggy?

Again with a 2.5 ltr I6 there is no lag on a small turbo either. I'd still wager its harder to get a supercharger working and you'd probably only get 210 - 220 ish hp (flywheel)
