Hi,

I've got a leaking plastic top tank and would love to know if anyones had any experience with repairers and any recommendations. It's a slow leak so I'm not panicking.

YesI do....every friggen day. You might need a new radiator...may no be able to be repaired. I can supply new a reasonable rates.

Need chassis # or a pic would be better

This car is an E28 525E production date 1987

2 different radiators

Does yours have air/con and is it auto or manual ??

Tanks at top or down the sides ??

Radiator tanks down the side or top & bottom ???

I dont need to know where the expansion tank is

I hope it doesnt need a new one, but I've noticed coolent seaping out between the radiator and the top tank.

get it checked out thoroughly you dont want to have a dodgy radiator,the last thing you want is to spring a serious leak..if the hose connection blows off for example it is amazing how fast the temp goes up if you have virtually no coolant,you have to stop immediately,which may not be easy (ie fast lane in the middle of winter on a rainy windy night.......)
