dickhead 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 1995 320i manual with a blown diff. seems to blow all the time iv been through 3 now. im looking at buying another small case diff 4.1 ratio but thinking of upgrading to a medium case diff etc from a 325i or 328i so it will hopefully be stronger or get an LSD at an extortionate cost. whats the best thing to do? if all else fails im just going to lock the next small case diff cos a diff blowing after 1 drop of the clutch is pathetic, especially when they are expensive as Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Small case axles have smaller joints and diff flange bolts. Does your diff have 4 bolt or 6 bolt side bearing carriers ??? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
