isis 16 Report post Posted July 27, 2008 just curious to know if dropping it into a 323i, would there be torque loss down low at all? cheers
Yuen 16 Report post Posted July 27, 2008 I don't have first hand experience, but this guy says his car pulls stronger throughout the rev range compared to stock. The 323 (170hp) being restricted from the factory would probably have the biggest HP gain out of all the E36s that this can go on. Theoretically, since it's going from single pipe to twin pipes all the way like the 325, and both have 2.5L engines it should able to get near 325 (192hp) territory. Maybe more torque but less hp since they have different intake manifolds? If you want the most out of it, get it tuned after installing. Overall, I'd say it's a great idea to put this on a 323. From what I've read, people said they got 10-15hp. Have a look at these: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...oday+for+my+323 http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...ght=323+exhaust http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...p;highlight=323 It's a common modification for the 323 so there's lots of other threads on the 323's restrictive exhaust system and how going with the 328 exhaust resulted in significant gains. And most of them weren't even decatted
