You don't need the individual throttle bodies. CamB 48 Report post Posted August 18, 2008 Thats awsome as yea ill just mod my current one, all i need is a welder would be nice know anyone thats selling one cheap It's aluminium - not the easiest thing to learn to weld on (alloy is extremely difficult, as is, I might add, cast iron). Welding either is a specialist job or risky.
tire 10 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) You could look into hiring a welder. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=cancer+surgery ...or if you have a good relationship with a garage maybe try sort something out with paying for the material expenses with cash, and paying for the labor with some of your own - sweeping the place out, doing oil changes, odd jobs, you get the idea. Mike 1 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 the alloy welding involved is not the sort of thing you can pick up so easily. as Cam said welding alloy is very tricky, but if you have a friend that can weld but doesn't have the gear its an option.
