oscar90 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2008 so was cleaning my car as ya do, and saw a tiny bit of green coolant looking liquid sitting on my mats below a heater vent on passenger footwell , and the heater barely works 'till i put it on full tit so im guessing its a stuffed heater core or something heater related?? are these hard to replace and expensive? any other possible ideas? tempted to wipe it up and pretent i didnt see but cant actually do that cars a 92 E36 with no A/C if that helps/ makes a diff Cheers in advance! You need check its not the pipes leaking first. There are "O" rings at the fire wall end and at the matrix fittings on the side of the airbox. If it is the matrix, the whole dash has to come out on an E36 Take out the grill in the engine bay, this is the air duct for the heater and you will see the pipe work there and remove the panel under the glove box and follow the pipe work and check for leaks.
