Eagle 1662 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 318i E46 currently running 225\35\18 P7000's which are old and low tread making them very noisy. Will prob move to 235\40\18, its on an 8 inch rim. My mother is wanting a decent tyre which is pretty quiet but still going to have a bit of grip if you need it . I notice alot of people running direzza's, are these fairly quiet?. Have been recommend the Toyo CT01 and GSD3's for a quiet tyre. Any thoughts welcome. thanks
JiB 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 Have Adrenalins on the E46, very very quiet compared to the pirellis that were on it. CamB's car is pretty quiet on Toyo T1R's.
zenetti 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 I would suggest running a 225/40/18, the 318 doesn't need a 235, the 225/40/18 is also closer to OE diameter. All the tyres you mention are reasonable quiet. The CT01 is not directional so in theory should be the quietest of them all, really it just comes down to how much you are wanting to spend.
