car doesn't start sometimes

Recommended Posts

hi there all could someone please advise me on this minor problem that we are experiencing "sometimes"

after driving around town the car decides to not turn over but it seems to have power but the starter doesn't seem to do it's like it doesn't want to roll over but after waiting for a couple of mins it decides to turn over and start like if there is nothing wrong would anybody be able to shine some light.

I'm not that literate on engine talk but could people please bear with me and help me out please

Still a little vague on description - is there a click as you try to start or silence?

Probably best you visit an Auto Sparky - should be a quick diagnosis.

Loose or dirty battery connection or grounding. Passes enough current to pull in solenoid but high starting current across resistance gives too high a voltage drop and hence not enough to spin starter motor

Or - voltage drop in energiser circuit, or faulty starter
