E36 318i Motor Wanted in South Island

Hi,

I am looking for a good running E36 318i Motor, It's the single cam model, I believe a M40?

Only need bare motor no extras, Prefer in canterbury but will travel if i have to.

I am not wanting to spend a fortune on this but i don't want a lemon either.

Willing to buy partial damaged vehicle if needed.

Yes I have and they don't have any, also have tried Ansel and they also do not have any and besides I don't want to pay their highly inflated prices. ($1000 for a motor for a car worth $1200)

I have been told that an E30 M40 motor will also do.
