HELP: 320i E36 Intake

Recommended Posts

Hi Team,

My GF has a Black E36 320I .. Nice car if I may say so. I am the garage mechanic for her and most of her car club mates :)

Im having problems with a intake pipe. Does anyone know of an aftermarket intake pipe for a pod filter that has the fitting for the sensor that sites in the origional airbox ? ... Any one know what that thing does ? all i can see if it has two water hoses running back to the throttle assembly and if you take it out it runs like a bag of crap :)

Any one successfully done a good intake on one of these without it running likr a bag of trash ?

Any help appreciatred

Picture of current half ass effort attached

Leave it pluged in but removed from the airbox and cabletie it out of the way.

learnt from M50 into E30 conversion.

So leave the water hoses attached and just move it ?

Do you know what it does ? From memory when I removed it the car ran rough at low RPM
