Slipping Power Steering Belt

Recommended Posts

My Power Steering belt has been slipping slightly ever since I got my cambelt changed but has now gotten significantly bad. Everytime I try to turn my wheels in a carpark or when putting them in full lock, I get a horrible, embarrassing screeching noise. Is it easy to adjust the tension on the belt?

Cheers

Very easy to do.. Check out this site http://www.scribd.com/doc/413516/Haynes-Re...Bmw-e30-e28-e34 page 24/228, it doesn't show the power steering pump but the principal is the same. Sing out if you need help if you can;t figure it out.

When we did the cambelt earlier this year I'm pretty sure we replaced all the drive belts. They probably all need readjusting now. If your up in Aucks, just call in and we'll adjust them for you.

Thanks Glenn, I thought it would just be something about the new belt. I found out this morning that my warrant expires tomorrow, so I might just get the garage to do it then.
